Maybe i haven't figured out the proper way to navigate my camera inside buildings but it seems to me moving your soldiers inside them is tedious.
sometimes the roof clears off while troops are in houses so you can move them properly to windows and such.
but generally it's very difficult to see clearly inside houses, let alone move your soldiers to properly.

EDIT : this was an old post and I was less MOW savvy then. I still wanna point out that some windows are bugged in a few maps. That means when you click on your infantry to go to a window, it can't find a path up to it and resorts to standing outside the house in front of it.

The next patch should introduce a feature which will have the "get in" icon like on vehicles, but on windows. Then the infantry gets in and mans the windows. Very nice feature I must say. And the best of all, it works on multi-storey buildins too. Until then we must cope with the not-so-good cover icon to get behind windows.

Where did you get this? the icon for assuming position in the building has been there from FoW times (1.04.1 patch). It works in multi storey building in FoW, Outfront A1 (BPO) and A2 (all versions)

There already is that. He's asking if the roof of whichever house your infantry are inside of will be transparent so you can see them.

Didn't he already answer his own question then?

No. He means the roof on the building goes transparent for some of the buildings/houses, but not all of them.

Well that's odd, I haven't encountered such problems. The function to order infantry automatically garrison a building is good enough for me in any case. The roof doesn't cut off with multi-storey buildings but you can see the units through the roof by a little v-sign above them, so you can click on that and order the unit to move to a different window.

it happens with some buildings with seme destroyed roofs ... i noticed it too ...
if the roof refuse to go transparent with units inside it usually do if you zoom to maximum closest to house

Yeah, but that's just impractical. :/

Em, thats just mapmaker's thingy, apparently someone was too lazy to tack off "z clip visibility" and create dissapearing roofs instead x_x

Could be modded rather easy, though.
