This game I believe just needs a little more to it, animation wise like. Don't get me wrong this game is bloody brilliant, but to be honest, not much has change in the 3 games, well it has, but a little more would be nice, not massive things just a minor things would make a nice change..

For instance: These are some of the things I would like to see, in animation and A.I

- When AT-guns, artillery, HMG and MG are placed down, Ammo crates or boxes or just the shells should be lying by the gun, and the gunner should go and pick them up to load the gun, because a game based on realism, this would be nice. As the men just seem to pull ammo out of thin air..

- If AT-guns and artillery loose a man, it should reload slower, I suggest a 3 man AT/Arty squad, loader, aimer and guy to pass the shells/ammo, and or re-man the gun if a man is lost.

- Guns should have special crews, which are more adept at using these weapons, and say if a rifleman just got on a gun, would he in definite know how to use it? And even a tank, why would a rifleman or smog solider know how to use a Russian tank?, shouldn't it just be tank crewman say..

- Better animation for gun reloads, not just shoot then magic reload then fire..

- soldiers should have a lot more a.i, they just stand there and get owned, like when arty hits them they just stand there, they should run for cover, or hide or at least try to do something. They should dive for cover when under fire, do things by themselves, and not having to tell them to do everything, (in other words infantry should look after themselves better

- Infantry should if needed pic up ammo if they need it, not just stand their and do nothng. They should be a little more self minded,

- I would like to see soldiers be able to dig fox holes or trenches, to make for better defencive situations.
or engineers specialised in doing this would be nice, and maybe they could even dig in a tank and give it cover in sandbags or bushes for better ambush situations.

-tanks just running through buildings and their being very little rubble, when a building falls their should be scripted pile of rubble making in passable, or only infantry can pass..

- Tanks should be slower, at the moment their like super fast, and it makes them loose their sexiness of a big lumber some tank, edging it way into battle

- fix the hooking up of weapons, say a man would get out and hook it up, not a magical force just places it on the trucks. (Like when the enemy rushes in with a armoured car or jeep and just kills your arty crew and runs off, that really puts me off the game )

- More game modes like, =all tanks and inf. =medium tank and inf/ =light tanks and inf/ or like time periods, 1940-41-42-43-44-45

i will think of more to add, i just think these things would be nice to see in the game, their not massive changes just quick fixes really. or maybe someone will mods this. ( oh and sorry if i have terrible spelling and grammar ^^ )

Well, some nice ideas. I think the gamemodes tank or inf only are just implated with the full version.

Good points, most, if not all of them :)

You're right, but detailed animations are just extra fluff. Sure I'd like them to be done someday too, but I'd focus on functionality first, like digging in and AI.

And don't even get me started on what great improvements could be made with AI, I'd finish at something "matrix-like" 8) But if we start off simple, sharing ammunition, formations, realistic squads and usage of cover and awareness of surroundings come to mind first. But it's all fantasy, and a coders' nightmare. Coding in infinite possibilities and triggers is hard work :D And after a while the game could almost play itself. Hell, if it's worth doing, it's worth over-doing :toast:

One fun feature would be infantry screaming "GET TO COVERRRGGGHHH" when shells come whistling down, and men franticly scattering and jumping behind any suitable cover, instead of just standing around like cannon fodder. Infantry isn't deaf, you know. And to make it less annoying, you could only hear the screams if you're looking at the spot. Then you could also try to move your equipment away at the last second. But enough with my wishes, I'll pass the turn to the next ones.

I really like the last idea, the guys dont shout much anythign nowadays. The incoming and guys jumping to cover would be so cool :D
