A while ago, my preorder for Men of War was cancelled and I was told that it was not going to be released in New Zealand, because of "classification issues". (NZ is obviously the country where I live.) Big blow to me, a lover of Soldiers: Heroes of World War 2 and Faces of War.
If someone would be so kind, I'd like to ask: I want to find out more about why it was cancelled, so does anybody know who I should contact and which department? Sites about Men of War usually list 4 different companies involved with the game. Best Way? Digitalmindsoft? 1C Company? Or, 505 Games? Or, even better, a web page about the cancellation. I have searched and found nothing.
And, so I don't give up hope entirely on this game, can anybody recommend a site that will either offer international shipping for Men of War or a site that will offer Men of War as a digital download, available worldwide? (I'm obviously talking legal download purchase!)
Thanks in advance.
Classification issues most likely relate to the "age rating department". That means that product will be forbidden, meaning you won't be able to buy it anywhere. But it rarely applies to digital market.
Edited the title of this discussion to let it more visible... A generic title like "Help please" may not attract users that may not enter this discussion considering only the short title.
Hope this would help you with this annoying problem.
PS: Me too do not like censorship. It is really a bad thing when a commission of dull people could stop a videogame or a movie.

Try http://www.cdwow.com.au
I presume they'll deliver to New Zealand but i cant find anything that confirms this sorry.
Their customer service is fairly decent so i'm sure if you contact them, they let you know one way or another
Anyway, I hope this helps

Hey, thanks. Never thought of looking at Australian sites. Good idea considering NZ and Aussie are so tight. Thanks!

When a game like this has problems with classification it usually means the distributor has decided they don't want to pay the submission costs. Either that or they just aren't bothering to release it there. I can't see any reason why it would be RC'd in NZ since they have an 18+ rating and MOW would barely warrent a 15+.

will it be out in Singapore?keep me posted...
Maybe it will be available as a digital download and you can buy it on this site(or somewhere else). I dont know myself, but im sure someone around here does. Downloading the game directly at launchday is a great way to distribute your new game anyway and i think everyone should do that :)

if it comes out in America they would ship some to Commonwealth(other than those you mentioned)contries
I hate it when countries do this crap. I remember one of the GTAs was pulled off the shelves in Australia because they didnt look into it properly. If I were you mate, just buy it online from over here in Aust, shipping will be bugger all to get it to NZ and you will have a boxed game in you hands with the right region code.
Do you have any friends in Aust? Email EB games and buy it online/over the phone then they can pick it up and send it to you.
Good luck mate, I think this game will be worth the effort.

I did some looking and it's not just New Zealand, the entire region has no release planned. No submissions to any of the rating boards have been made as of yet, I guess we'll need to buy it from over seas or digital download.
