My friend have a problem can you help me to help him :p

well I dont even konw what its causing exactly, as soon I start the game, the soldiers screen apears and just before hes lodaing the menue, I see a screen with glitches and the next second its black, before I got blue screens, now the screen is just black and all I can do is restart the machine.
I suspect that its a driver issue. but I really dont know how to solve that since I instaled the newest driver for everything

Geforce 7800 GS
the rest is pretty standart soundblaster, AMD processor, nothing that should make issues...

though I still have to find out where the adresses are point to
0x0000008E (0xE0000001,0xF776f925,0xB2275888,0x00000000)
watchdog.sys - Adress F776F925 base at F776F000, Datastamp 480254ab

Well if it truly is GPU - Motherboard problem, you should check that the card is firmly placed on it's PCI-E slot and update its' drivers which can be found from the manufacturers website. You should also double check that his power supply unit is powerful enough to provide the whole PC enough power to run. Check also all cables that they are where they should be.

0x0000008E and watchdog.sys indicates to faulty nvidia drivers, look here (http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/635163.html) or here (http://letmegooglethatforyou.com/?q=watchdog.sys) for more details :whip:
Also, you might have to update to latest service pack of your windows (which should be done regardless).

Could be drivers, im getting a similar problem with ArmA where the screen starts going black and glitchy and lots of weird graphics errors and crashes game. Restarting fixes it up. I searched my error log and said video hardware error, so its surely the drivers that nvidia mustve F... up in.

I'd say, codecs. Or he has some application on the background that has crashed or failed to start, and is making stuff freeze. Like with my friend that I visited today, he had Winamp left on the background that had bugged, so when I tried to play CoD5 screen just stayed black, and I could only use taskmanager to shut it down. After I had killed winamp.exe, everything worked wonderfully again.

Pretty shoot and miss, but I can't think of anything else atm. For him it may be some other application, or, missing/corrupted codecs.
