Does anyone, besides Zeke, know why the Frag Town isn't included? Wasn't that the map he made for the mapping contest..? Maybe Zeke did not give a permission to use it or something.

It isn´t. I´m the author of that map, and I have already been informed by other buyers of A2 and read on the Official Best Way forums that Frag Town isn´t included. However, it was included in A1 so that might be why you´ve it in that case...

The reason to why the map isnt included in A2, is due to the "BTRH vs. Best Way" theft accusations earlier this year. Best Way wrote on their forums that ALL 3rd party stuff, maps included, will be removed from the game, unless they had a written contract with the author of said stuff. I hadn´t got a contract, but I´ve been waiting for them to send me one since the first day after they asked me if they could use the map. No contract ever reached me.

I was also never informed that the map was included in the A1 expansion in Russia, but thanks to another forum user who bought the expansion from an Russian online store, I was informed informally that the map was included and that my name (both nick and real name) had been included in the manual as author of the map.

Then the accusation incident happened. I was never informed by Best Way that my map had been removed from the game, or why they removed it. After all, it was BTRH that accused them, no other freelancers. They hasn´t replied to any of the mails that I´ve sent them nor any of the PM´s etc. The only replies that I´ve got, is from Instinct who has been really helpful in this matter, but still no reply from Best Way. Last week one Russian forum user wrote "Please bring back the map Frag Town!!!" to which one of the Best Way staff replied "Map removed due to us not having a contract with the author".

Some traces of the map are left in the game, like weather settings etc, but the map itself are gone (I do not have the game myself, but trustworthy people who has bought the game, has checked it for me).

So, to make the story short. After sending them five mails, and a couple of PM´s, I have realized that Best Way wont answer and thus, they aren´t interested in using the map, even if it was they who contacted me in the first place. I have sent them some other stuff that I made (a couple of vehicles from my 1st vehicle pack) and at least two of the vehicles, has been included in the SP game (told to me by a very trustworthy source) but strangely enough, those vehicles could be used without a contract... but a map could not be used... :confused:

And thats why I am pretty annoyed right now...

but map isnt ingame. :huh: :huh:

:roll: My name is added in the credits as the author of the map Frag Town and if you look real closely in one of the screens in the manual you can see the map listed in available MP maps (it can be seen as "multi/frag_town") but the actual map isnt in the game... Now I am really confused... :confused:

The map was entered in the map contest last year, and if I remember the rules from that contest correctly, wasnt one of the rules you must accept that any map that was entered could automatically be used by the developers and added to Men of War? And thats the reason I thought why Best Way never sent me a contract (as Skael told me that he would do) when the map was added to Outfront A1 last year...
