Multiplayer Problem : Cant find any Games (1.28.3E)

Hi,

I just decided to reinstall SHOWW2 and play on LAN with a good friend.
We both are using WindowsXP SP3 and have the latest version 1.28.3E + mp improvement patch.
We successfully played together sometime ago but now no one of us can find the others game in LAN.
Direct IP didnt show any game, too.
Firewalls ( XP ) are disabled on both machines, pings are working fine.

im really clueless what could be the matter ?!
The network runs finde with any other games.

Are there any specialities regarding the network with soldiers ?
Any ideas ?

Have you used Gamespy arcade? If not try it out. I've only gotten to play online through Game spy.. :typing:

Ok i dont like these 3rd party software but i'll give it a try.

Are there any Soliders LAN related ideas tought ?

put two PCs, with the same mask 255.255.255.0 and set IP to 192.168.0.1 to one PC and 192.168.0.2 to second PC.

i found an solution.
We are using hamachi now, some sort of VPN.
If we are both connected, we can play togehter without any problems.
i suspect that problem was somehow related to the windows network interfaces.
