You mean when Xfire patches itself once a new version of it has come out? If so, you can't as af as I know.

Yea, I don't think it's possible to stop Xfire's auto patch unless you shut it off and stop using Xfire. Since it requires an internet connection to use, the auto patch is more or less mandatory.
It's quite annoying that this mess was added to my comp without my permission by the Demo http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s108/MadCatOmni/Soldiers%20emoticons/soldier_angry-1.gif.

On Shadow skin it is on the top says "Xfire" "Extras"" Hilfe"
1. Click "Extras"
2. There should be a list, you should see "Optionen.."(Options) click that.
3. On the top you should see tabs like "Chat" "Klänge"(sound) click "Dateien"(Files)
4. In the middle of that you should see something with a check box next to it saying "Patches für meine Spiele automatisch herunterladen" (Automatically download patches for my games)
5.Click the check mark, so that there is NO check mark inside the box.
6. Click "OK" on the bottom of the window.
I don't really bother xfire to autopatch, even as I got a couple of custom games added to xfire
I have the text backuped and the ID number is over 9000, so I guess in a couple of decads. That number will be reached. :)

Thanks for that, but please Edit your posts and not double post :)
If you want to add a custom game to Xfire, navigate to "C:\ProgramData\Xfire" (In Vista, don't know in XP :realbig: )
Open xfire_games.ini
Scroll all the way down and add this text there:
[6000]
LongName="Name that will appear in your Games list"
ShortName="The name your pictures and movies will be saved as"
LauncherDirKey="Path do the Install paragraph in RegEditor. (In most cases, something like this: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\"Company Name"\"Game Name"\InstallDir
LauncherExe="What .EXE file that will activate the game"
Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS%
InGameRenderer=D3D9
InGameFlags=USE_PRESENT|ENABLE_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT_MO USE
The 3 last paragraphs is unimportant and doesn't have to be edited.
Enjoy :)
