What do tank commanders do in SHOWW2. I've been playing it for a year, and I think it might be something to do with the mg,. But I'm not sure.

What do tank commanders do in SHOWW2. I've been playing it for a year, and I think it might be something to do with the mg,. But I'm not sure.
I always thought that if the tank has a commander he will make the tank operate better but I think I was wrong and he is there just for the "eye candy". A tank can operate very well with only 3 crewmen inside (in SHoWW2 that is)

He is a crewman more, he can to do all funtions if driver, gunner or charger is dead.

And he can be a big juicy target in some SoE vehicles as well. Why they did that in Faces of War simply astounds me. Looks cool but is impractical in practice.
