God made the world on half of it so theirs till plenty of time for.. whatever. And that brings me to the point of this thread (if any) - whats the "whatever" ?
Its the game on schedule?
Where is the "we went gold announcement"?
The rumored new Portal its still to happen?

The news have stopped long ago ( i guess they where planed for a September release)

I´m not really expecting answers just shake the pond, feel free to contribute!

PS: The pre-Christmas big game release has officially started with Far Cry2, so not mush room to maneuver... Luckily no big RTS/RTT franchises on the horizon (if you take out the Close Combat IV re-release :)

Sorry to spoil your fun, but Stincy has already stated at the German part of the forum that the November release is very unlikely to happen.


Meines Wissens ist für DE auch noch kein Publisher/Distributor entschieden, die offizielle Beta läuft auch noch nicht. Es spricht also vieles gegen eine November release.
Which roughly translated means something along
"As far as I know the Publisher/Distributer for DE (Germany?) is not yet chosen and the offical beta is not running yet. All this speaks very much against a November release."

Will the change of release date be announced here as soon as you know? At least I am sure it would be appreciated if you could give us information about how long we approximately have to wait, even if no definite date is set.

According to information gathered on the official Russian Best Way forum, will the game not be published on the 7th of November. Same thing has been hinted by Instinct himself here on the DMS forums, and if I remembers it correctly, I think that I saw a post saying "that the game wont be released until February 2009"...

I will rather wait for a good game, rather than have the game released on the 7th of November 2008 filled with unsolved bugs etc. Stalker: Clear Sky anyone? :evil:

Egads, another Swede... We seem to be everywhere nowdays... :realbig: I can only recommend you to check out the Official Best Way forum. They are the developers of the game and there is a much more information on that site, not only about the game release itself, but also a ton of other information regarding how to make maps, vehicles etc. :) However, if you can´t read Russian you´ll need to use Google/Altavista´s online translating help... From what I´ve gathered about the release on the Russian forums, they haven´t said anything about a release date, other than "You can forget about the 7th of November, however a SP Demo will be released in December" but don´t take this for granted, since the online translators are infamous for translating... wrongly... :lol:

The total amount of public knowledge on this subject boils to (no official statements):

Release expected for February 2009
SP Demo in December (no-coop, 1 player only)
The game is done and ready to print
International beta testing - no clues


So the next big question is - will the time be used for additional content, or just play testing?

Instinct has a comment on the the German Forum and the gist of it is that as we all knew 7th of November is out along with an '08 release.

He says that the reason for the delay is actually the publishers fault and that it's not the development of the game. From what i can gather the game is actually finished. He said the release date is likely to be Feb '09 but not to be counting on it.

Then I guess that we just have to hold on an see what happens. Its hard when you really wainting for something special like this game :) I wonder what the punlishers are doing to delay the game (if thats the reason though).
