Hi,
OK, here goes. This is the scenario where you get two tanks to start with.
Now, I have captured 6 tanks for a total of 8 tanks and 8 soldiers driving them. My problem is going to the town. When I get there, I get wiped out by dozens of Germans. How do you win this scenario?

Hints would be appreciated...

Thanks,

The safer way: capture a pz4d(this tank have a bigger firing range), and shoot with 75mm HE shells in the town buildings until you destroy all and kill all infantry located there. After capture the Tiger hided in that building down-right on the map;place inside a mG with 200 bullets...and go kill them..the idea is to keep distance. Use the Tiger for enemy vehicles and another 2 tanks to cover from infantry.

The heavy way is to capture the Kingtiger that comes on the road between those 2 88mm guns...and from this moment the fun beginn.... now you can destroy anything without problems, with the condition to not let the infantry get to close to the tank.

...or any other way.....you got 8 soldiers...you can place 4( 1+1+1+1) in 4 tanks only for shooting with machinegun, and the other 4(2+2) in 2 tanks...for enemy armor;

...and do not get in the city to fast...keep the distance, let the enemy come to you...and when you get in the city use a medium tank, to move faster;

I've gotten up into the town and have made a complete mess of the left side, behind the two cannons. I have dozens of captured or destroyed tanks a vehicles all over the place. I've had to refuel and reload ammunition a couple of times. The buildings are all flattened and the scenario still doesn't end.
Those dam Germans still keep coming. :lol: :lol: :lol:

How do you win this one??? :brickwall:

Help! :pang:

Is this mission called "minefields"? If I remember correctly you should eliminate the german forces in the right side of the town to permit allied soldiers to escape. This if I remember correctly... :grandpa:

Thanks for the support, guys. I know it's an old game and all of you have moved on but I'm still having fun with it as a noobie.

The next scenario is a stinker, I see. Only 3 guys to take all that artillery out? Sheesh! That's gonna be a challenge... 8O I'm out numbered. :pang:

Yes, it's an old game, but the best game. I play every day Soldiers, especially "Tank attack" and "Minefields", cause are big maps with a lot of tanks where I can test my data modifications.
Good luck with the mission! :pacman:

Nah, that one's easier than it looks. Deal with the infantry in/near the buildings by choosing your killing ground and making them come to you, stock up on ammo/dynamite and introduce your men to the gunners. Choosing your territory and attack approach is the key to this one :D

Yeah, I just beat it. It was pretty easy. About 6 tries to learn what I needed to do then, KILL KILL KILL!!! :realbig:

The next one looks really tough, holding that bridge with 4 men. I think I'll be on this one awhile... :brickwall:

Are there any more scenarios besides the extra bonus ones? Did any of you guys make any good ones?

Thanks,

You mean mods (scenarios) in general? Have a look at the mods folders in the forum http://www.digitalmindsoft.eu/forums/viewforum.php?f=34, if that's what you mean.

No, I was referring to scenarios only. I like the game as it is and was wondering if anybody made some more scenarios for it. I don't care about modding it, it's fun just the way it is, IMO.

Thanks

If I'm reading you right (and I probably aren't) then you mean making a slight variation on an existing mission. A few modders did this when the game first came out. Minefields Reloaded is one example. However, most of these types of mod were designed for the 1.01 version of the game and can't be played with the 1.28 version.

Sorry, it's my fault. I'm using the wrong terminology for this game. What I mean are missions, slight variations would be fun along with newly invented missions, too.

So, I guess the issue here is, version adaptability. I guess I'll need newly made missions for the 1.28.3E version. Did anybody do that?

:D

Yeah, it is a case of getting used to the terminology (I still am). All the examples you've mentioned (slight variations would be fun along with newly invented missions) are referred to as mods (modifications). Have a good look in the mods listing (http://www.digitalmindsoft.eu/forums/viewforum.php?f=34), you're bound to find something that brings a smile to your face!

Some are individual missions and others are campaigns with several missions.

Oh, OK. I'll give it a look. I think I understand a little bit better, now. Thanks a bunch.

In great lines this addon (new campaign missions) are called "modifications" because they contain a certain number of files from the game that we need to modify.

BTW great idea your signature i'll re-steal it :realbig:
