User Made Maps

Hey all... sorry if this is a dumb question, I am new to the franchise:


I understand that there is a Map Editor... excellent. However, how easy are User Made Maps to play. Will they simply be listed on multiplayer (can they be used on multiplayer), will you have to download them from a site, or must you log on to some type of Mod.

Coh - made user made maps impossible to play with others online (not impossible, but for the effort it was useless)

AoE3 - was easy to play others online who had different maps... simply click on them, and there you go.

MoW - ???

You can play any map online, but first you have to download them as a mod from a site. The game then will auto-enable the needed mod or mods when you join.

Even easier than that, you just place the map files into your \resource\map\multi folder and restart the game once for the first time. Nothing to auto-enable.
