Hi, folks !
well .... I have a request or question to the game developers (DMS , 505 ,Bestway), can the developers make some tools for modding ?? I think the mods developer may need some tools for MoW modding .For example coding , modeling and texture etc .

I love GEM Editor because it is very easy to make a map and mission for fun or entertaining . It is really a good game map Editor that i saw ! I hope the game developers will make more programms for MoW/FoW modding and developing mod !

I got a good example with a game called "Armed Assault" , it is a good game and got good developers. BIS (ArmA develop studio) value mod developer whatever OFP , ArmA or ArmA2 . They made many tools for modding for their games , the players can make a addon easily .So ,there are many many mods/addons released in OFP and ArmA . That's why OFP or ArmA is still popular since now !

Please don't mind my bad english ,
Hope MoW will get a good way for the futrue.
Thanks !

Everything you mentioned is infact present.

Gem Editor for maps, missions and light coding

Notepad for heavy coding and rest.

Photoshop for textures and some FXs

3ds Max Plugins for modelling

So, having all of these, you become 1-man show, and can make just about anything :)

3DS Max is used to make the whole vehicle and when you exports it, it automatically converts the model into .ply´s, creates the .mdl file and a basic .def file. Unfortunately I do not have the skill to use this software, so I uses Milkshape 3D to make my models, which works perfectly to export ply´s etc, but it take much more work to get it to work, since you´ll have to modify the .mdl file yourself, and also, animations made in Milkshape doesnt work with the FoW engine, so you´ll have to recycle animations already made in 3ds max (ie. basically "steal" them from other vehicles). And yes, to be able to save and export stuff made in Milkshape 3D, you must register it, but a registration only costs US35 dollars, which I found to be very cheap for such a easy-to-use and still quite powerful 3d software (compare that amount to the US$4000 for 3DS Max here in Sweden). I got my registration code three days after sending the author of Milkshape the cash, so it doesnt take long to get it either.

Another free 3D program that is usable (I haven´t tried it myself) is Blender, there is a ply exporter available for this one as well, but I do not have a link to neither the 3d Blender nor the exporter, sorry.
