GameOnSite released a video preview of Men of War, which was presented during a recent event in the UK. They are showing you a Russian campaign mission, the heroic defence of Moscow.

I hope gaming magazines like Gamestar oder PC Action will get a high quality version of this video.
The volume of voice should be louder. Bad quality.
Can the admin deactivate the physic? A thing without any profit. It's only a gimmick.
And I do not like to see the bling bling lighting effects. Is that a ww2 tactical game or command&conquer ? :sick: Cheers be happy to get a COH mainstream game. :wow: BUT there is a real problem, COH-Players will fait for an original COH-successor. :baseball:
I hope that the developers will search for an own style.

Maybe you don't understand it, this is a presentation to an audience, mostly press. Some of them filmed this presentation to show it to the public.

The mission looks great! Good to see games networks taking an interest, shame about the quality of the video but I still managed to make it all out... I'm so excited :wow:
One question I keep wanting to know if Instinct would be so kind to answer :yes::
will the Sevastopol missions I'm so interested in be set in 1941/2 or 1944? :huh:
Looking awesome. I´ve got a couple of more questions:
-Is there a psichological aspect to the soldiers? Do they cower? Go berserk? Stuff like that.
-Are there officers and NCO´s in the game? If so, do they have any effect on morale, do they rally troops?
-How many units take part in the engagements? 10+ ? 20+ ? 50+? 100 +?

Lastly, was it an old versioñ of MoW? Because I saw that the customizable buttons slots where missing in the center of the UI thing... And all the buttons where all packed in one side and all where the ones that appear in FoW in that part... so i basically didnt see the line of slots where you could drag all the buttons and customize the UI... OMG so many things
I need beta and see al that stuff before it happens... :baseball:

I expect to see something else than a monitor filmed with a camera, some things that could be seen only here on DMS;.... and that's the way we are recompensed :huh:

Camone guys we are almost there...
The movie is just a link from a game review site nothing official, not even recorded from any of the DEV staff, so take it as it is (I recommend with an aspirin)
Rafo - The Menu here appears the "Marketplace" option is from a totaly diferent game for consoles, probably a flight simulation maybe SturmovicK1946 making is ways to the console market!
Men of War is intended only for PC.. as any half decent RTS. Anyway the GEM engine version in wish is Built MoW does not support consoles. Of course a port using GEM2 engine maybe possible in the future..but i wouldn't bet on it

You are totally right. And besides MoW is simply too complicated game for consoles. I've played C&C3 on Xbox 360 and I can say that it's too complicated... :rtfm:

But in one of the vids someone asks whether you can dig your own foxholes or whatever, the guy talking about it didn't know but the guy playing said no.
Doesn't the GEM editor have that drawback that you can't place cut-entities such as trenches/foxholes etc. in-game? I could be wrong, but truth is that he is shoveling, maybe the developers changed this?

Trenches are not done, however you can build up sandbags for cover.
If you wonder about the devupdate for this week, I guess you will get a situation report about the MP Beta instead of it later this weekend.

Ok, if it will comfort you all, there was no update on BW either. They had some sort of devchat, but nothing new appeared there, but -!

We are ravenous vultures :lol: but I think some people become rude to/about Instinct and the developers when a dev update is missed. I think they try their best to keep us happy but it's not as if they're obligated to give us an update every friday, especially if more important things concerining the game crop up.

Let the guys work in peace, they rls material as soon as they can, news, updates, info about the beta... do not worry guys, september is a step way... and soon I´ll be crushing all of you without mercy in MP battles!! :lol:

I just can't believe that the most active threads on this forum (for months now) are those where people complain about delayed beta testing!!!
Have you any ideas to share with others in this community? Why don't you take up modding for this game? Have you got a good idea for a mission? Share it... Go read something, play some soccer, watch some TV... (some of you do your homework :realbig: )
Asking same things over and over again will definitely not speed up the process so I recommend spending your time and effort on something else...

I don´t see it that way. Those of us who are fanatics of the World War II genre have seen a wide variety of games throughout the years, some with excellent features, some that suck. This game seems to be coming along VERY nicely. Wouldn´t it be nice to see one game that FINALY includes everything that we have been looking for all this time? Why not go the extra mile? Why produce yet another half assed game? I think we´ve seen more than enough of that. :brickwall:

I see that you too hunt the Russian forums for new screenshots... :) but where did you see the other vehicles you mentioned earlier, like the Pz 2F, Bedford etc? Those pictures would be nice to see... instead of boring Centurions and what seems to be, a IS-3... :)

i reckon one of the most important things for me is that the side buy menu appears to indicate that its american tanks second bottom, then underneath them is an image of a british centurion so is that box BRITISH tanks/vehicles :D
i bloody well hope thats the case, it would be interesting to be able to fight with a british squad, then change to an all american squad in your next match :!:

Okay, the Europeans like to see more "US Army"-Symbols but I like momently the russian Symbols because in all the last years we had to play "Company of Heroes", "Battlefield 1942" , "Medal of Honor" , "Day o Defeat Source" and so on on American side.
I can not anymore see the "American" victory symbols for World War II.

I'd enjoy seing germns in the cover. Since there are way too many americans in those game covers... :rtfm:
Any cover with germans look good...represent better the war. Personally I will like to see a PzVIB and a german flametrower on cover, but if the main story is about that 2 russians, I think the cover will be with russians.

well i would actualy prefer that the game is simply given covers that correspond to the region that its sold in!
for instance russian covers in russia, american style covers for the yankee market, and oh dear europe is a wee problem isnt it, but how hard can it really be to put a german flag on the cover in germany, and one of those bloody union flags (which i hate because im scotttish) on the cover in the british isles and so on and on!!!
i too am sick of games pandering to the american market, and have to say that if given the choice i would rather have the russin symbols on the cover than another americanised game!!!
Make it like FoW... in USA you had a yank guy with US flag and in other places you had russian dude with ussr flag...
So, you're all complaining and debating about a cover art for a box that'll most likely just be collecting dust on your shelf? That is, unless you plan on framing it...

Perhaps there is a valid explanation. And lets not forget they are not obliged to post devupdates at all.
Geez, forums have gone down a notch recently... box art wars, devupdate feuds...
Peeps are just eager to find out what is happening and when the game is coming out.
We are no nearer a beta, yet it's supposed to launch in September, thats looks unlikely, based on the time it takes to release the beta, find the bugs, make required changes, finalise the code, pass the master to 505 for pressing and then distribution to the stores.
We could be looking Xmas at the earliest the way things are going. :(
The CIS has the first part of the game, the second part is already being advertised, yet we don't get any updates
People are bound to feel a little let down, that nothing appears to be happening for us in Western Europe (in the forums at least, behind the scenes I bet Instinct is running around trying to sort things out)
I am off to Barcelona for 3 weeks 8) , so won't be around to check these boards every few days, so hopefully when I get back, the beta should be out and people will have something else to moan about :lol:

Ok people... Ever considered getting a life?
Perhaps there is a valid explanation. And lets not forget they are not obliged to post devupdates at all.
Geez, forums have gone down a notch recently... box art wars, devupdate feuds...
i have a life....i just check new posts then i leave... but whenever some1 says that they might/be an update than i depend on that person.... idk about u.... :shady:
I just don't get it...
I can understand that some people would like to see something new on these forums. Dev-update maybe, new screenshots or something like that, but do most of you really need to complain every second day if there is nothing like that posted?
I check these forums every day. I enjoy seeing new things posted (especially productive, nice or interesting ones). If there is something like that when I check - great! If not... oh, well, what can you do? :P
... and about that release date... well, I'd like it if the game appeared in shops next week but I wouldn't be surprised if decision-makers decided to wait for xmas.... I'd do just that if I were them :shady:
Enough time for beta testing, testing, SP demo, MP demo and xmas period is perfect for any kind of release... when everybody goes into shopping frenzy (at least western societies)...
Oh, well...
