Defy_you, I don't think its possible without airburst rounds... height engagement is apparently too low to make heavy Flak's turn on time. Buuut, singlebarreled 20 mm flaks and Cromtec's Kugelblitz turn the buzz-boys to dust even now :)

Haha, that picture would imply you can shoot down aircraft. Maybe it's just for cinematic effect though..?

It is possible to shot down a plane, even in FoW.
But the bad thing is that you can only aim at the plane, which in most case means that you shoot behind the airplane (If its not flying towards you).
You can only aim at a static object or terrain, not in the middle air.
Since it ain't possible without making a Real FPS mode.

Tho, I've heard that the GEM engine supports FPS, but I guess is fricking hard to do it.
Until then, you just have to be happy with what you can do :P
Instead of AA, follow him with your own plane and start a MANLY DOG-FIGHT!!!

Well it's still possible in Fow, just script the AA to shoot the air nonstop and just hope the plane would fly through the fire :realbig:

Well may seem impossible but yes,while messing around in the editor a neblwerfer and a artillery unit shot down my p51 somehow. 8O :wilting: :lol:

Well in one map you have 3 Mustangs. They are best for suicide attacks tho :)

Yes it is possible. But it takes time, and a lot of ammo to do so, or a real fortune of luck... I´ve only managed to take down airplanes with the 88 flak 41 and the Vickers 93mm, the 12.7mm on the M16 halftrack, Maxon and the 20mm Flak30/38 seems not to have the necessary firepower to do so... :(

It's done easily by some modding; you need to mod the AA guns penetration ( I made it 14, as it really was), range, spotting distance and rotation speed. :)
AA guns are now really dangerous to planes though. (I modded the Flak 30/38 but it could be done with any AA gun).
