Couldnt resist the urge to add the less common Alkett version of the Jagdpanzer IV family. This one was based on a ordinary Pz IV hull to which the Jagdpanzer IV L70(V) fighting compartment was added. 278 (ca) was made from late 1944 to March 1945. Armed with the same 7.5 cm gun as carried by the Panther (less muzzle break) it was a powerful machine. Carried Thoma hull schürzens which were made of heavy netting in order to save material. Polys used --- 7580. A bit more than FoW original vehicles, but far less than my earlier vehicles (which has been reworked and is now all of them, less than 10.000 polys).

I´ll let the pictures speak for themselves...

It still needs a proper uvmap and of course, a excellent skin made by Ngvede... :realbig:

Can you make a grid structure instead of the plates for the skirts with you milkshape programm?

I am able to convert milkshape 3d files to 3dsmax 8, and we can wrap/unwrap and skin vehicles now from this direction. I send you a PM...

Nope, I dont think that can be done in Milkshape. The only alternatives that is available in Milkshape is:

Box, Cylinder, Geoshape, Plane, Shape and of course, Vertices and Faces. But why do you want to have it as a gridstructure? After all, the Thoma shields were thin and made from three pieces, just like the way I made them?

Yes yes you a right,

my question was regarding to make skirts with "grid" structure. Used for instance by Pz. IV Ausf. J instead of plates. But ok, this is not possible in milkshape.

OK, now I understand what you meant. You want them to look like heavy netting, ie. mesh, right? This is done in Photoshop with Alpha Channels. Of course, they could be made in Milkshape but the polycount would be much higher... :)

Ngvede has made the first new skin/texture for this little beast. Those Thoma net schürzens looks incredible when viewed in the editor and game. :hurray:

_x and _xx views are still in the making and so are more camouflage variants.
