Does anyone kwons why .ply human file are not animated in game after beeing modified with milkshape3d??

I've tested SoE edit but it seems that it is not possible to apply animation on an infantry .ply after have modified it with milkshape: the soldier appears in in game but is not animated :huh: :brickwall: But i know it's possible to modified ply infantry files: some did it with SOA

i try very hard to mod ply and mdl with milkshape and SoE, but my human skin are not animated, does anyone have any suggestion plz?

If I remember it correctly, Instinct himself once told us that you cant change the ply´s in Milkshape, if you do so, then you loses the animation. SoEdit can only be used to scale the human 3d model into a larger and/or smaller shape, at least that was what I read at Codemasters forum when their SHOWW2 forum was still quite active. So, I dont think you can alter any human ply´s in Milkshape, only in 3ds Max and then redo the animation with that program. Too bad that you cant use Milkshape to do animations, would have made my life easier when building my 3d vehicles. :evil:

True Zeke, dinsen and me trying to create a bull from a cow for D.A. 2.30 mod and we can not do it, the bull was deformed.... and we abandoned that proyect. :cry:

Ok it's not possible to have animation on a .ply with milkshape :sad2: .
I have modified a .ply and i tryed to put an animation in the mdl file with notepad (tryed to add animation to the skin bone) and i tryed to edit the .ply with notepad in order to add bones or volumes, but the games crashed or i still didn't have animation.
i've tryed 3DS max 2008 but the.plu plugin don't work :(
I want to create a pacific mod but i think i will use existing skin...
I will post some pic of my work when skins will be finish

Nb: you can modify texture position on a .ply human file with milkshape:
-import a copy of a .ply human
-use "texture coordinate editor"
-modify texture position as you want
-export the .ply copy in the original directory
the .tex file will save the modifications and it will work on the original .ply (the copy you will have modified won't be animated, so don't replace with the original)
